Responsibilities
- Implement advanced threat detection and incident response protocols for federal systems
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on classified networks
- Develop and maintain security documentation including risk assessments and compliance reports
- Collaborate with cross-agency teams to coordinate cybersecurity initiatives
- Monitor security operations center (SOC) alerts and mitigate active threats
- Provide technical guidance on NIST and FISMA compliance frameworks
- Train federal staff on cybersecurity best practices and protocols
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship and active security clearance (or ability to obtain)
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field
- 5+ years of experience in network security or incident response
- CISSP, CEH, or CompTIA Security+ certification required
- Proficiency in SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar) and threat intelligence platforms
- Experience with cloud security (AWS/Azure/GCP) and network architecture
- Demonstrated knowledge of federal IT security policies and regulations
