Responsibilities
- Safeguard federal networks against cyber attacks using advanced monitoring tools
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on government systems
- Develop incident response plans and coordinate mitigation during security breaches
- Collaborate with federal agencies to implement NIST security frameworks
- Provide cybersecurity training to federal employees
- Analyze threat intelligence and produce actionable security reports
- Ensure compliance with federal cybersecurity regulations (FISMA, CUI)
Qualifications
- Active TS/SCI security clearance
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field
- 3+ years experience in federal IT security roles
- Certifications: CISSP, Security+, or equivalent DoD 8570 compliance
- Expert knowledge of NIST SP 800-53 security controls
- Experience with SIEM platforms (Splunk, ArcSight)
- Ability to obtain and maintain security clearance
