Responsibilities
- Implement and monitor advanced security protocols for federal networks and systems
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on government infrastructure
- Develop incident response plans and lead cybersecurity threat mitigation efforts
- Ensure compliance with federal security standards (FISMA, NIST, CUI)
- Collaborate with cross-agency teams to enhance national cybersecurity posture
- Train federal employees on security best practices and threat awareness
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain federal security clearance
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of experience in cybersecurity or IT security administration
- Industry certifications (Security+, CISSP, CEH) strongly preferred
- Experience with SIEM tools, firewalls, and intrusion detection systems
- Knowledge of federal IT security frameworks and compliance requirements
- Strong analytical skills and ability to work under pressure during security incidents
