Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze cybersecurity threats across federal systems using advanced SIEM tools
- Develop and implement security protocols to protect sensitive government data
- Lead incident response activities for cyber security breaches
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing
- Collaborate with cross-agency teams on national security initiatives
- Prepare detailed security reports for senior leadership
- Maintain compliance with federal NIST and FISMA standards
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Minimum 3 years of cybersecurity experience in federal or regulated environment
- Active Security+ CE or CISSP certification required
- Proficiency in SIEM tools (Splunk, ArcSight) and network security protocols
- Experience with incident response frameworks (NIST SP 800-61)
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
