Responsibilities
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on federal IT systems
- Develop and implement cybersecurity protocols aligned with NIST standards
- Monitor security operations center (SOC) alerts and incident response activities
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with FISMA requirements
- Prepare detailed security documentation and audit reports
- Lead incident response coordination during security breaches
- Train personnel on cybersecurity best practices and awareness
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship required
- Active Secret security clearance (or ability to obtain)
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field
- Minimum 3 years experience in federal cybersecurity operations
- Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) or CompTIA Security+
- Expertise in risk assessment methodologies and security frameworks
- Proficiency with SIEM tools and threat intelligence platforms
