Responsibilities
- Monitor and respond to cybersecurity incidents across DoD networks using SIEM tools
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on classified systems
- Develop and implement security policies compliant with NIST and FISMA standards
- Collaborate with IT teams to harden systems against advanced persistent threats
- Prepare detailed incident reports and recommend mitigation strategies
- Stay current on emerging cyber threats and defensive technologies
- Mentor junior security analysts and conduct security awareness training
Qualifications
- Active Top Secret security clearance with SCI eligibility
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of experience in network security or incident response
- CompTIA Security+ and CISSP certifications (or ability to obtain within 6 months)
- Proficiency in SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar) and vulnerability scanners
- Knowledge of DoD security frameworks (RMF, JPAS, DIACAP)
- Strong analytical skills and ability to work under pressure
- US citizenship required
