Responsibilities
- Implement and monitor advanced intrusion detection/prevention systems for federal networks
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on classified systems
- Develop incident response protocols and coordinate with federal law enforcement during security breaches
- Manage firewall configurations and network security controls across Tampa-based federal facilities
- Generate comprehensive cybersecurity reports for federal compliance (NIST, FISMA)
- Train federal personnel on cybersecurity best practices and threat awareness
- Collaborate with federal partners on intelligence-driven threat mitigation strategies
Qualifications
- Active Secret security clearance (Top Secret preferred)
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years of experience in network security, threat analysis, or federal IT systems
- CompTIA Security+ CE or CISSP certification required
- Proficiency in SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar) and vulnerability scanning tools
- Demonstrated experience with federal compliance frameworks (NIST, FISMA, CMMC)
- Ability to obtain and maintain DHS suitability clearance
