Responsibilities
- Implement and maintain federal cybersecurity protocols across classified and unclassified systems
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on government networks
- Lead incident response for cyber threats, ensuring minimal operational disruption
- Develop and execute security awareness training programs for federal personnel
- Collaborate with NCIS, FBI, and other federal agencies on joint security initiatives
- Ensure compliance with NIST, FISMA, and DHS cybersecurity frameworks
- Manage security monitoring tools and generate actionable threat intelligence reports
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Minimum 3 years of professional cybersecurity experience in federal/government sector
- Active CISSP, Security+, or CompTIA Security+ certification
- Expert knowledge of federal cybersecurity regulations (FISMA, NIST SP 800-53)
- Proficiency in SIEM tools (Splunk, ArcSight) and vulnerability scanners
- Experience with cloud security (AWS/Azure) and network architecture
- Ability to obtain and maintain DHS security clearance
- Strong analytical skills and crisis management capabilities
