Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze cybersecurity threats across federal networks using advanced SIEM tools
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on critical infrastructure systems
- Develop and implement incident response plans for cyber-attacks
- Collaborate with IT teams to ensure compliance with NIST and FISMA standards
- Provide cybersecurity awareness training to federal personnel
- Document security incidents and prepare detailed reports for leadership
- Stay current with emerging cyber threats and defensive technologies
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field (Master's preferred)
- Minimum 5 years of experience in cybersecurity or IT security roles
- Active Security+ CE or CISSP certification
- Experience with federal IT security frameworks (NIST, FISMA, CMMC)
- Proficiency in threat detection tools (Splunk, CrowdStrike, Palo Alto)
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
