Responsibilities
- Implement and maintain advanced cybersecurity protocols for federal networks and systems
- Monitor, detect, and respond to security incidents in real-time
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on classified systems
- Develop incident response plans and coordinate with federal law enforcement
- Ensure compliance with NIST, FISMA, and DHS security frameworks
- Train federal personnel on cybersecurity best practices
- Collaborate with CBP and ICE on border security technology initiatives
Qualifications
- Active Secret security clearance with ability to obtain Top Secret
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field
- 3+ years experience in federal IT security environments
- Certification in CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or CEH
- Proficiency in SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar) and network security protocols
- Experience with Windows/Linux system administration
- Knowledge of federal IT compliance requirements (NIST SP 800-53)
