Responsibilities
- Monitor and mitigate cyber threats against federal systems using advanced SIEM tools
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing for critical infrastructure
- Develop incident response plans and lead security breach mitigation
- Ensure compliance with NIST and FISMA cybersecurity frameworks
- Collaborate with federal agencies on threat intelligence sharing
- Maintain security documentation and audit compliance records
- Mentor junior cybersecurity specialists in federal protocols
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Security+ CE, CISSP, or GIAC certification required
- 3+ years experience in federal IT security environments
- Proficiency with AWS/Azure cloud security tools
- Active Secret clearance or ability to obtain one
- Knowledge of CMMC and FedRAMP compliance standards
- Experience with incident response frameworks (NIST SP 800-61)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
