Responsibilities
- Oversee the full lifecycle of software development, implementation, and maintenance for state-wide IT systems.
- Analyze complex data requirements and translate them into efficient, scalable technical solutions.
- Ensure strict compliance with federal, state, and local security protocols and privacy regulations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize system performance and user experience.
- Provide technical mentorship and guidance to junior staff members within the government division.
- Conduct regular system audits and performance assessments to identify vulnerabilities and improvement areas.
- Manage IT projects from conception through deployment, adhering to strict government timelines.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; or equivalent professional experience.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in software development, systems analysis, or IT project management within a government or enterprise environment.
- Proficiency in core programming languages (Java, Python, or C#) and database management systems (SQL).
- Strong understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and virtualization technologies.
- Certification in IT security (e.g., CISSP, Security+) is highly preferred.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to perform effectively in a high-pressure, deadline-driven environment.
