Responsibilities
- Conduct security assessments and vulnerability scans on federal information systems to identify potential risks and implement mitigation strategies.
- Monitor network traffic and security alerts to detect and respond to cyber threats in real-time.
- Ensure compliance with federal regulations, including NIST, FISMA, and DHS policies.
- Manage user access controls, perform privilege reviews, and enforce security policies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and maintain incident response plans.
- Document security incidents, findings, and remediation actions in compliance with audit requirements.
- Provide technical guidance and training to junior staff members on security best practices.
Qualifications
- U.S. Citizenship: Must be a U.S. Citizen to hold a federal security clearance.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Certifications: Active Security+ or CISSP certification is preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in cybersecurity, network defense, or information assurance.
- Clearance: Ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret or Secret clearance.
- Skills: Proficiency in security tools such as SIEM, Firewalls, and Endpoint Detection systems.
