The City of New York is seeking a Senior Program Manager to lead critical IT initiatives within our Federal and State contracting division. We are looking for a strategic leader who understands the unique compliance requirements of government work, including FAR and DFARS regulations, while delivering high-quality technical solutions.
Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end lifecycle of federal and state IT projects from initiation through delivery.
- Ensure strict adherence to government contracting regulations, FAR, and internal compliance standards.
- Manage cross-functional teams, including developers, engineers, and subject matter experts.
- Develop and manage project budgets, forecasts, and resource allocation plans.
- Communicate complex technical status updates to senior stakeholders and government officials.
- Identify and mitigate project risks to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in Program Management or Project Management within the Federal or State Government sector.
- PMP, PgMP, or similar advanced project management certification is required.
- Proven experience with IT infrastructure, cloud migration, or large-scale software development.
- Deep understanding of federal compliance standards, procurement processes, and reporting.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for stakeholder management.
