In this role, you will lead the planning, implementation, and administration of server hardware and software systems. You will ensure 99.9% uptime for critical services while maintaining strict security protocols.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain complex Windows Server and Active Directory environments.
- Manage cloud infrastructure migration and integration using Azure or AWS.
- Monitor system performance, analyze data, and troubleshoot complex technical issues.
- Implement and enforce strict cybersecurity protocols and disaster recovery plans.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure IT solutions align with business goals.
- Conduct regular system audits and provide technical guidance to junior staff members.
- Manage vendor relationships and oversee third-party IT service contracts.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in systems administration within a large enterprise environment.
- Strong proficiency in Windows Server, PowerShell, and Active Directory.
- Certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator or MCSE are highly preferred.
- Deep understanding of network protocols, virtualization technologies, and ITIL frameworks.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work well under pressure.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a State of Michigan background check and security clearance.
