Responsibilities
- Design and implement robust cybersecurity frameworks for federal systems
- Conduct penetration testing and vulnerability assessments on critical infrastructure
- Monitor security incidents using SIEM tools and respond to cyber threats
- Ensure compliance with NIST, FISMA, and other federal security standards
- Develop incident response plans and coordinate with federal agencies
- Train personnel on cybersecurity best practices and protocols
- Stay current with emerging threats and defense technologies
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years of cybersecurity experience with federal systems
- Security+ CE, CISSP, or equivalent federal security certification required
- Expertise in network security, threat analysis, and incident response
- Experience with federal compliance frameworks (FISMA, NIST)
- Strong analytical skills and ability to work in high-pressure environments
- U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain DHS security clearance
- Proficiency in security tools (Splunk, Qualys, Palo Alto Networks)
