Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain secure network architectures for federal clients, ensuring compliance with NIST and FedRAMP standards.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify and mitigate security risks before they are exploited.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot complex system issues and provide technical support during high-stress incidents.
- Develop and document detailed technical specifications, standard operating procedures, and incident response plans.
- Monitor system performance and uptime, ensuring 99.99% availability for critical government services.
- Provide expert-level guidance to junior engineers and participate in code reviews and architectural planning sessions.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technical field (Master’s degree preferred).
- 5+ years of experience in systems engineering or IT infrastructure support within a federal or government contracting environment.
- Active Top Secret clearance or the ability to obtain one is required.
- Professional certifications such as CISSP, Security+, or GSEC are highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of network protocols (TCP/IP), cloud services (AWS/Azure), and virtualization technologies.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
