Responsibilities
- Implement and maintain NIST cybersecurity frameworks across DoD networks
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing
- Monitor security alerts using SIEM platforms (Splunk, ArcSight)
- Develop incident response plans and coordinate breach mitigation
- Ensure compliance with FISMA, HIPAA, and DFARS regulations
- Train personnel on cybersecurity best practices
- Manage firewall configurations and intrusion detection systems
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (Master's preferred)
- 5+ years experience in federal/government cybersecurity roles
- Active CISSP, CEH, or CompTIA Security+ certification
- Expertise in AWS/Azure cloud security architectures
- Experience with DoD RMF and JPAS clearance processes
- Strong knowledge of DOD 8570.01-M compliance standards
- Ability to obtain Secret security clearance
