Responsibilities
- Analyze and interpret large-scale federal datasets using SQL, Python, and R to identify trends and anomalies
- Develop interactive dashboards and reports using Tableau/Power BI for executive stakeholders
- Ensure strict adherence to federal data security protocols (FISMA, HIPAA) and privacy regulations
- Collaborate with IT teams to optimize data pipelines and improve data quality metrics
- Present findings to senior leadership with clear recommendations for operational improvements
- Support compliance audits by maintaining accurate data documentation and lineage
- Stay current with evolving federal data standards and analytical methodologies
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or related field (Master's preferred)
- 3+ years of professional data analysis experience with federal government data
- Expert proficiency in SQL, Python (Pandas, NumPy), and statistical analysis tools
- Advanced certification in data visualization (Tableau/Power BI) or data engineering
- Deep understanding of federal data regulations (FISMA, 21st Century IDEA Act)
- Proven experience with ETL processes and cloud data platforms (AWS/GCP)
- Ability to obtain and maintain a federal security clearance
- Exceptional problem-solving skills with attention to regulatory compliance
