Responsibilities
- Analyze and interpret large-scale veteran healthcare datasets using SQL, Python, and statistical modeling tools
- Develop interactive dashboards and reports for leadership decision-making using Tableau/Power BI
- Ensure compliance with federal data governance standards including HIPAA and FISMA
- Collaborate with clinical teams to identify data-driven solutions for veteran care gaps
- Present findings to executive stakeholders through clear visualizations and narrative reports
- Maintain data integrity across VA's electronic health record systems
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or related field
- 3+ years of professional data analysis experience with federal data systems
- Advanced proficiency in SQL, Python (Pandas, NumPy), and R
- Certification in Tableau or Power BI (or equivalent BI tools)
- Demonstrated knowledge of healthcare data structures (e.g., VistA, Cerner)
- Experience with federal data privacy regulations and compliance frameworks
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust security clearance
