Responsibilities
- Analyze complex federal healthcare datasets using SQL, Python, and R to identify trends and support strategic decision-making
- Develop interactive dashboards and visualizations using Tableau/Power BI to communicate findings to senior leadership
- Ensure compliance with federal data regulations (HIPAA, FISMA) while maintaining data integrity and security protocols
- Collaborate with VA medical centers and federal partners to translate analytical insights into actionable recommendations
- Present findings to stakeholders through concise reports and executive briefings
- Maintain and optimize data pipelines for large-scale federal healthcare datasets
- Contribute to continuous improvement of analytics methodologies and tools
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or related field (Master's preferred)
- 3+ years of professional data analysis experience with federal datasets or healthcare data
- Advanced proficiency in SQL, Python (Pandas, NumPy), and data visualization tools
- Strong understanding of federal data regulations (HIPAA, FISMA) and security protocols
- Experience with statistical analysis and machine learning techniques
- Certification in Tableau, AWS, or Google Cloud Analytics preferred
- Excellent communication skills with ability to translate complex data for non-technical audiences
- U.S. citizenship required for federal position
