Responsibilities
- Analyze and interpret large-scale federal datasets using SQL, Python, and R to identify security trends and patterns
- Develop interactive dashboards and visualizations using Tableau/Power BI for executive briefings
- Ensure all data handling complies with federal regulations (FISMA, HIPAA, FOIA)
- Collaborate with law enforcement agencies to support counter-terrorism and border security initiatives
- Present findings to senior leadership through comprehensive reports and data-driven narratives
- Maintain data integrity across multiple secure databases and cloud platforms
- Lead ad-hoc analysis projects addressing emerging threats and policy changes
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Economics, or related field (Master's preferred)
- 3+ years of experience analyzing federal, state, or municipal government datasets
- Advanced proficiency in SQL, Python (Pandas, NumPy), and statistical modeling
- Certification in Tableau, Power BI, or similar visualization tools
- Deep understanding of federal data governance and security protocols
- Ability to obtain and maintain a federal security clearance
- Experience with geospatial analysis and mapping technologies
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences
