Responsibilities
- Data Collection & Processing: Gather, clean, and validate large datasets from various federal sources to ensure high-quality input for analysis.
- Statistical Analysis: Perform advanced statistical analysis and modeling to identify patterns, correlations, and trends relevant to federal policy and operations.
- Visualization & Reporting: Develop interactive dashboards using tools like Tableau or PowerBI to present complex data findings to non-technical stakeholders and senior leadership.
- Compliance & Security: Ensure all data handling processes adhere to strict federal security protocols (FedRAMP, NIST) and privacy regulations (GDPR, FISMA).
- Process Improvement: Identify inefficiencies in data workflows and propose solutions to optimize data retrieval and reporting cycles.
- Stakeholder Communication: Translate technical data insights into clear, concise executive summaries and presentations.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Information Systems, or a related field is required.
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of professional experience in data analysis, preferably within the federal government or defense contracting sector.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in SQL, Python, or R for data manipulation and analysis. Experience with ETL tools (e.g., Informatica, Talend) is highly preferred.
- Visualization: Strong proficiency in Tableau, PowerBI, or QlikView.
- Security Clearance: Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret or Top Secret clearance is mandatory for this role.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain complex data concepts to diverse audiences.
