Responsibilities
- Collect, clean, and validate large-scale datasets from various federal sources to ensure accuracy and integrity for reporting purposes.
- Design and develop complex data models, dashboards, and visualizations using tools like Tableau, PowerBI, or Qlik Sense.
- Analyze trends, patterns, and anomalies in data to support strategic decision-making for government agencies.
- Ensure strict compliance with NIST, OMB, and other federal data governance standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to identify key performance indicators (KPIs) and reporting requirements.
- Create detailed technical documentation and data dictionaries to support knowledge transfer.
- Conduct data quality audits and implement corrective actions to mitigate risk.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in data analysis, preferably within the federal government or defense contracting sector.
- Proficiency in SQL for data extraction and manipulation; experience with Python or R is a plus.
- Demonstrated experience with data visualization tools (Tableau, PowerBI, or similar).
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance.
- Strong understanding of federal regulations regarding data privacy and reporting.
- Exceptional communication skills with the ability to explain complex data findings to non-technical audiences.
