Responsibilities
- Collect, clean, and interpret large-scale federal datasets to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies that inform strategic initiatives.
- Develop and maintain interactive data visualizations and dashboards using tools such as Tableau, PowerBI, or custom Python scripts to present findings to senior leadership.
- Ensure strict compliance with federal standards, security protocols (FISMA), and data privacy regulations during all analytical processes.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with policy makers, IT specialists, and subject matter experts to define data requirements and deliver high-quality reports.
- Perform statistical modeling and forecasting to predict outcomes and support evidence-based decision making.
- Document data workflows and methodologies to ensure transparency and reproducibility for internal audits.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
- Proven experience as a Data Analyst within the federal government or a cleared environment (Secret clearance highly desirable).
- Expert proficiency in SQL for database querying and data manipulation.
- Strong programming skills in Python or R for data analysis and automation.
- Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Qlik, or D3.js).
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate complex technical data into clear, concise executive summaries.
