Responsibilities
- Analyze and interpret large-scale federal healthcare datasets to support veteran care improvement initiatives
- Develop interactive dashboards using Tableau/Power BI for executive decision-making
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA, FISMA, and federal data governance standards
- Collaborate with cross-agency teams to optimize veteran service delivery metrics
- Present findings to senior leadership through comprehensive data narratives
- Automate reporting workflows using Python/R and SQL for efficiency gains
- Conduct ad-hoc analyses to support policy development and program evaluation
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Public Health, or related field (Master's preferred)
- 3+ years of experience with federal healthcare datasets (VA, CMS, or HHS)
- Advanced proficiency in SQL, Python (Pandas/NumPy), and statistical analysis tools
- Expertise in data visualization platforms (Tableau, Power BI, or D3.js)
- Strong understanding of federal data privacy regulations (HIPAA, 42 CFR Part 2)
- Experience with ETL processes and cloud platforms (AWS/GCP)
- Ability to obtain and maintain a federal security clearance
