Responsibilities
- Process and verify veterans' healthcare enrollment applications and eligibility documentation
- Conduct comprehensive benefits counseling for veterans and their families
- Manage complex case files involving disability compensation, pension programs, and special entitlements
- Collaborate with medical teams to coordinate care access and benefits alignment
- Maintain accurate records in federal systems while ensuring compliance with VA regulations
- Provide exceptional customer service through in-person, phone, and virtual consultations
- Participate in continuous training on VA benefits programs and federal policies
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, public administration, or related field
- Minimum 2 years experience in benefits management or healthcare coordination
- Proficiency with federal systems (e.g., VBA, VBMS) and Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong understanding of veterans' benefits programs (VA, TRICARE, Social Security)
- Exceptional communication skills with ability to explain complex policies
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism
- U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain federal security clearance
- Valid Florida driver's license (if travel to outreach sites required)
