Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care including vital sign monitoring and medication assistance
- Support healthcare providers with clinical documentation and administrative tasks
- Maintain strict compliance with federal healthcare regulations and VA protocols
- Assist with patient mobility and daily living activities
- Coordinate care plans with multidisciplinary teams
- Prepare examination rooms and maintain sterile environments
- Document patient observations accurately in electronic health records
Qualifications
- Current California CNA or Medical Assistant certification
- Minimum 1 year healthcare experience with federal/military healthcare preferred
- BLS/CPR certification from Red Cross or AHA
- Proficiency in EHR systems (e.g., VistA, Epic)
- Ability to pass federal background check and drug screening
- Spanish bilingual skills highly desirable
- Valid California driver's license
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
