Responsibilities
- Analyze complex public health datasets to identify emerging trends and inform policy development
- Develop evidence-based interventions targeting chronic disease prevention and health equity
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement community health improvement initiatives
- Prepare comprehensive reports and presentations for stakeholders including city council and community leaders
- Oversee grant management and compliance for federal/state public health funding programs
- Supervise junior analysts and coordinate interdepartmental health emergency response protocols
- Lead community outreach initiatives to engage underserved populations in health education
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, or related field
- 5+ years of experience in government public health program implementation
- Advanced proficiency in data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI) and statistical software (R, SAS)
- Deep knowledge of HIPAA, CA Health & Safety Code, and CDC guidelines
- Experience managing federal grants (HRSA, CDC) and compliance reporting
- Valid California driver's license with clean record
- Bilingual proficiency in Spanish preferred
- PHR or CPH certification strongly preferred
