Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care and health assessments for veteran populations
- Coordinate multidisciplinary treatment plans and ensure compliance with federal healthcare regulations
- Maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR) documentation per VA standards
- Conduct patient education on health management and preventive care
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to improve healthcare delivery
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and performance audits
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing or related healthcare field (Master's preferred)
- Active RN license in New Mexico or compact state
- Minimum 3 years clinical experience in federal healthcare setting
- VHA certification in patient-centered care or equivalent
- Proficiency with EHR systems (e.g., CPRS, VistA)
- Ability to obtain and maintain federal security clearance
- Strong communication skills with diverse veteran populations
