Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive cybersecurity strategies for federal systems
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on classified networks
- Ensure compliance with NIST, FISMA, and DHS security protocols
- Lead incident response teams during security breaches
- Train federal employees on security best practices
- Collaborate with IT teams on secure system architecture design
- Generate security compliance reports for leadership review
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (Master's preferred)
- 5+ years of experience in federal IT security compliance
- Active CISSP or Security+ certification required
- Expert knowledge of NIST SP 800-53 controls
- Experience with FedRAMP and CMMC frameworks
- Secret security clearance (ability to obtain Top Secret)
- Proficiency in SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar) and vulnerability scanners
- Strong understanding of federal procurement processes
