Responsibilities
- Implement and maintain federal information security policies in accordance with NIST 800-53 and FISMA requirements.
- Conduct regular vulnerability assessments, security audits, and risk analyses to identify potential threats.
- Manage user access controls, authentication protocols, and identity management systems.
- Monitor network traffic and security systems to detect and respond to cybersecurity incidents in real-time.
- Prepare and present detailed security compliance reports to senior leadership and federal oversight bodies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to design secure, scalable IT solutions for federal clients.
- Stay updated on the latest federal regulations, emerging cyber threats, and compliance best practices.
Qualifications
- Active Top Secret or Secret Security Clearance (required for this role).
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Assurance, or a related technical field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in federal contracting or government IT environments.
- Certification such as CISSP, Security+, or CISA is highly preferred.
- Strong working knowledge of FedRAMP, DISA STIGs, and NIST frameworks.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex security issues.
- Strong communication skills, capable of translating technical jargon for non-technical stakeholders.
