Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain federal IT systems including network security protocols and data encryption standards
- Provide Tier 3 technical support for VA healthcare applications and electronic health records systems
- Implement cybersecurity measures compliant with NIST and FISMA regulations
- Coordinate disaster recovery planning and business continuity operations
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on IT infrastructure upgrades and modernization projects
- Document system configurations and maintain compliance with federal IT policies
- Conduct regular security audits and vulnerability assessments
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Minimum 3 years of experience in federal IT infrastructure management
- Active Security+ CE certification or equivalent DoD 8570 compliance
- Proficiency in Windows Server administration and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure)
- Experience with HIPAA-compliant healthcare systems
- Ability to obtain and maintain a federal security clearance
- Strong analytical skills for troubleshooting complex technical issues
- Familiarity with VA-specific IT systems preferred
