Responsibilities
- Manage and optimize enterprise IT infrastructure including servers, networks, and cybersecurity systems
- Develop and implement secure cloud migration strategies for VA applications
- Provide technical leadership for IT modernization projects compliant with federal regulations
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve complex system issues
- Conduct risk assessments and develop disaster recovery plans
- Mentor junior IT staff and ensure adherence to VA IT policies
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years of progressive IT experience in federal/government environment
- Active CompTIA Security+ CE certification
- Expertise in cloud platforms (AWS/Azure) and virtualization technologies
- Knowledge of FISMA, NIST, and FedRAMP compliance standards
- Strong problem-solving skills with experience in enterprise-level troubleshooting
- Ability to obtain and maintain a government security clearance
