Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain secure IT infrastructure supporting VA healthcare systems
- Provide Tier 3 technical support for complex hardware/software issues
- Develop and execute cybersecurity protocols in compliance with federal standards
- Lead cross-functional projects integrating new technologies into legacy systems
- Document system configurations and troubleshoot network vulnerabilities
- Maintain compliance with FISMA, NIST, and other federal regulations
- Train staff on new systems and security best practices
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of federal IT infrastructure experience
- Active Security+ CE certification and CISSP preferred
- Proficiency in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and virtualization
- Demonstrated experience with federal cybersecurity frameworks
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to obtain and maintain a government security clearance
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
