Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain secure IT systems supporting veteran healthcare operations
- Lead cybersecurity initiatives to protect sensitive veteran data and ensure HIPAA compliance
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize IT infrastructure and service delivery
- Manage federal IT projects from conception through implementation and evaluation
- Provide technical guidance to junior staff and stakeholders on best practices
- Monitor system performance and implement continuous improvement strategies
- Ensure all systems comply with federal regulations and VA standards
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Minimum 3 years of federal IT experience with systems administration
- Active Security+ CE certification or equivalent cybersecurity credential
- Proficiency in cloud platforms (AWS/Azure) and federal IT frameworks
- Demonstrated project management experience with federal systems
- Ability to obtain and maintain a federal security clearance
- Strong analytical skills and experience with ITIL methodologies
- U.S. citizenship required
