Responsibilities
- Manage and optimize VA IT infrastructure including servers, networks, and cybersecurity systems
- Develop and maintain electronic health record (EHR) applications and veteran-facing digital services
- Lead system integration projects connecting VA facilities across Northern California
- Implement HIPAA-compliant data security protocols and conduct vulnerability assessments
- Provide technical support to clinical staff and veteran service organizations
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on IT modernization initiatives
- Document system configurations and create disaster recovery plans
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
- 3+ years of experience with federal IT systems (FISMA compliance)
- Certification in CompTIA Security+ or equivalent cybersecurity credential
- Proficiency in cloud platforms (AWS/Azure) and virtualization technologies
- Experience with VA-specific systems (VistA, M2) preferred
- Ability to obtain and maintain a government security clearance
- Strong problem-solving skills and technical documentation abilities
- U.S. citizenship and eligibility for federal employment
