Responsibilities
- Manage and optimize federal IT systems supporting veteran healthcare services
- Implement cybersecurity protocols to protect sensitive veteran data
- Coordinate system upgrades and integrations with VA network infrastructure
- Provide technical guidance to healthcare staff on IT systems and tools
- Ensure compliance with federal IT regulations and FISMA standards
- Lead cross-functional projects to improve IT service delivery
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
- 3+ years of experience in federal IT systems management
- Active Security+ CE certification or equivalent DoD 8570 compliance
- Demonstrated experience with EHR systems (e.g., VistA) preferred
- Knowledge of HIPAA and federal healthcare IT regulations
- Ability to obtain and maintain a federal security clearance
- Strong problem-solving skills and federal IT documentation experience
