Position Overview:
As a Federal IT Specialist, you will be responsible for the end-to-end management of our information technology systems. You will ensure the security, reliability, and efficiency of federal networks while adhering to strict government regulations. This position requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and a commitment to excellence in a fast-paced federal environment.
Responsibilities
- Manage the lifecycle of federal IT systems, including installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of hardware and software.
- Implement and maintain robust cybersecurity protocols to protect sensitive federal data and ensure compliance with FISMA standards.
- Provide advanced technical support and training to federal staff members regarding IT systems and procedures.
- Conduct regular system audits and performance assessments to identify vulnerabilities and optimize system efficiency.
- Coordinate with other federal agencies to ensure interoperability and adherence to federal procurement regulations.
- Document all technical processes, configurations, and incidents to maintain accurate records for federal auditing purposes.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field from an accredited institution.
- Active US Citizenship and the ability to obtain a Secret Security Clearance.
- At least 3 years of progressive experience in federal or government IT environments.
- Deep knowledge of Federal Information Security Management Act (FISMA) compliance requirements.
- Strong proficiency in network administration, virtualization technologies, and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently and in a team setting.
