Responsibilities
- Manage Federal IT Infrastructure: Oversee the configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of federal servers, networks, and workstations to ensure 99.9% uptime.
- Implement Cybersecurity Protocols: Enforce NIST security standards and federal compliance regulations to protect sensitive government data.
- System Administration: Perform system administration duties including user access management, patch management, and software deployment.
- Incident Response: Lead the detection, analysis, and resolution of IT security incidents and system outages.
- Vendor Management: Collaborate with external vendors to ensure the timely delivery of hardware and software services.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of system configurations, security logs, and incident reports.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. (Additional years of experience may substitute for a degree).
- Experience: At least 5 years of progressively responsible experience in federal IT systems administration or cybersecurity.
- Certifications: Active CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or equivalent federal IT certification is highly preferred.
- Security Clearance: Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust or Secret security clearance.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Windows Server, Linux, Active Directory, and cloud technologies (AWS/Azure).
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact with diverse stakeholders.
