Responsibilities
- Oversee the entire lifecycle of federal IT projects, from initiation to deployment, ensuring strict adherence to federal regulations and timelines.
- Manage and mitigate risks associated with federal data security, infrastructure reliability, and compliance with FISMA standards.
- Collaborate closely with agency stakeholders to translate complex business requirements into robust technical solutions.
- Conduct regular system audits, vulnerability assessments, and quality assurance checks to maintain the integrity of federal systems.
- Coordinate with external vendors and internal teams to implement software upgrades and hardware expansions.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
- Document all processes and system configurations to ensure clear knowledge transfer and regulatory compliance.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technical field (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
- Minimum of 3-5 years of direct experience working within a federal, state, or local government IT environment.
- Active Secret or Top Secret Security Clearance (or the ability to obtain one upon hire).
- Strong proficiency in cloud technologies (AWS, Azure) and legacy federal systems (FedRAMP compliant).
- Deep understanding of NIST cybersecurity frameworks, ITIL best practices, and federal procurement regulations.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines in a high-stakes government setting.
