Responsibilities
- Conduct complex criminal investigations involving federal jurisdiction and national security threats
- Analyze intelligence data and prepare detailed case reports for prosecutorial review
- Collaborate with federal, state, and local law enforcement agencies on joint operations
- Testify as expert witness in federal court proceedings and administrative hearings
- Manage sensitive evidence and maintain strict chain-of-custody protocols
- Develop investigative strategies targeting financial crimes, cyber threats, and terrorism
- Train junior agents on investigative techniques and federal compliance standards
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship and active security clearance (or ability to obtain Top Secret clearance)
- Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice, Homeland Security, or related field
- Minimum 3 years experience in federal law enforcement or criminal investigations
- Proficiency in investigative software (CJIS, NCIC, and case management systems)
- Valid Michigan driver's license with clean driving record
- Ability to work rotating shifts and respond to emergency deployments within 4 hours
- Successful completion of polygraph examination and background investigation
- Advanced certification in digital forensics or financial crime investigations preferred
