Responsibilities
- Lead the full project lifecycle (initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, and closure) for federal IT contracts.
- Ensure strict adherence to Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and agency-specific compliance standards.
- Manage cross-functional teams and foster collaboration between technical staff, stakeholders, and government clients.
- Develop and maintain detailed project plans, budgets, and resource allocations.
- Identify potential risks and implement mitigation strategies to ensure project milestones are met on time and within scope.
- Conduct regular status meetings and provide transparent reporting to senior leadership and government sponsors.
- Oversee quality assurance processes to ensure deliverables meet rigorous federal specifications.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Active Secret or Top Secret Security Clearance (or the ability to obtain one) is highly preferred.
- Minimum of 4-6 years of experience in project management within the federal government or defense contracting sector.
- Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure, cloud technologies, and Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Proven track record of managing budgets exceeding $1M and leading teams of 5+ members.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex technical data to non-technical stakeholders.
- Professional certification such as PMP, PgMP, or ITIL is a plus.
