Responsibilities
- Design and implement network security protocols across federal systems
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing
- Monitor security operations center (SOC) alerts 24/7
- Develop incident response plans for cyber threats
- Ensure compliance with NIST, FISMA, and DHS security standards
- Train staff on security best practices and protocols
- Collaborate with federal partners on threat intelligence sharing
Qualifications
- Active TS/SCI security clearance required
- Bachelor's degree in IT, Cybersecurity, or related field
- 5+ years experience in federal IT security operations
- Certification in CISSP, CEH, or CompTIA Security+
- Expertise in SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar)
- Knowledge of FedRAMP and CUI handling procedures
- Ability to obtain DHS suitability clearance
