Responsibilities
- Implement and maintain federal IT security protocols across classified and unclassified systems
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on government networks
- Lead incident response for cybersecurity threats including ransomware and APT attacks
- Develop security awareness training programs for federal employees
- Ensure compliance with NIST, FISMA, and DHS security standards
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on security architecture improvements
Qualifications
- Active Secret security clearance (or ability to obtain)
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field
- 3+ years of experience in federal IT security roles
- CompTIA Security+ or CISSP certification required
- Proficiency in SIEM tools (Splunk, ArcSight) and vulnerability scanners
- Familiarity with FedRAMP and CUI handling procedures
- Experience with AWS GovCloud or Azure Government services
