Responsibilities
- Implement and maintain NIST cybersecurity frameworks across federal systems
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on VA networks
- Manage security incident response protocols and documentation
- Develop and execute security awareness training programs
- Ensure compliance with FISMA and FedRAMP requirements
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on security architecture projects
- Monitor security logs and analyze threat intelligence data
Qualifications
- Active Secret security clearance (Top Secret preferred)
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field
- 3+ years experience in federal IT security roles
- CompTIA Security+ or CISSP certification required
- Expertise in network security tools (e.g., Splunk, CrowdStrike)
- Knowledge of FedRAMP compliance standards
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
