Responsibilities
- Implement and maintain cybersecurity protocols across federal IT systems
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing
- Monitor security incidents using SIEM tools and respond to breaches
- Ensure compliance with FISMA, NIST, and federal security standards
- Develop security awareness training for federal employees
- Collaborate with cross-agency teams on threat intelligence sharing
- Manage encryption systems and access control frameworks
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in IT, Cybersecurity, or related field
- Minimum 3 years of federal IT security experience
- Active CISSP, Security+, or equivalent security certification
- Expertise in network security tools (firewalls, IDS/IPS)
- Familiarity with federal security frameworks (FISMA, NIST SP 800-53)
- Ability to obtain and maintain Secret clearance
- Strong analytical and incident response skills
