Responsibilities
- Design and implement enterprise-level cybersecurity frameworks and policies
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on federal systems
- Monitor security incidents using SIEM platforms and respond to threats within SLAs
- Develop incident response plans and coordinate breach mitigation efforts
- Ensure compliance with NIST, FISMA, and federal security regulations
- Train staff on security best practices and emerging threats
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on security architecture improvements
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (Master's preferred)
- 5+ years experience in federal IT security roles
- Active CISSP, Security+, or CompTIA Security+ certification required
- Proficiency in security tools: Splunk, Palo Alto, CrowdStrike
- Experience with cloud security (AWS/Azure) and network protocols
- Secret security clearance (ability to obtain Top Secret)
- Knowledge of federal compliance frameworks (NIST SP 800-53)
