Responsibilities
- Implement and maintain NIST-compliant security frameworks across federal systems
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing for classified networks
- Develop incident response protocols for cyber threats targeting federal assets
- Collaborate with NC state agencies on critical infrastructure protection initiatives
- Lead security awareness training programs for federal personnel
- Manage security audit compliance for federal cloud environments
- Coordinate with FBI and NC Cyber Joint Task Force on threat intelligence
Qualifications
- Active Secret security clearance (required)
- CISSP or Security+ certification (mandatory)
- 5+ years federal IT security experience
- Expertise in FISMA compliance frameworks
- Advanced knowledge of Windows/Linux security architectures
- Experience with SIEM platforms (Splunk/QRadar)
- Strong incident response documentation skills
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity or related field
