Responsibilities
- Implement and maintain NIST cybersecurity frameworks across VA systems
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on federal networks
- Develop incident response protocols for security breaches
- Manage IAM systems including multi-factor authentication and privileged access
- Ensure compliance with FISMA and federal security regulations
- Lead security awareness training for VA staff
- Collaborate with IT teams on secure system architecture design
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field
- 3+ years of experience in federal IT security compliance
- Active CISSP or Security+ certification required
- Proficiency in vulnerability scanning tools (e.g., Nessus, Qualys)
- Experience with cloud security (AWS/Azure) and FedRAMP
- Knowledge of HIPAA and VA-specific security protocols
- Ability to obtain and maintain Secret security clearance
